Strip Heaters
Sords Electric sells Strip Heaters by Watlow and Chromalox.
Industrial strip heaters are used principally for convection-type air heating and clamp-on installations. Industrial strip elements, in most cases, can be applied with standard hardware. However, for firm contact and best heat transfer, clamps are recommended for tank or platen heating. Strip Heaters will stretch when heated so it is not recommended to use the tabs for securing heaters to your application; this could cause the strip heater to bow.
Chromalox Strip heaters are made of rust resisting iron and chrome steel. Watlow Strip heaters are made of Aluminized steel and stainless steel.
